In Portland, 5 townhouses, 11 condos, and 62 homes sold last week. In condos, there were a couple of interesting new construction sales at Encore and Benson Tower, plus notable resales in the Casey and Meriwether buildings.
The highest priced sale last week (even counting single family homes) was this 8th floor condo at Casey Condos, a LEED Platinum-certified building in the Pearl District. The 2,000+ square foot 2-bedroom plus den sold for $1.1M after listing on Oct 7 for $1.15M.
Not a bad view to be had from this 11th floor condo at Encore. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and 1,523 square foot corner unit in the Pearl District was purchased for $619K. Encore Condominiums was built in 2009 and is a LEED Silver-certified building.
A different view of the river and some crazy-huge virtual flame are what can be found in this recently sold condo at Meriwether in the South Waterfront. The 1-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo was briefly listed in 2008 and then was relisted in May of this year for $489k. The 1,246 square foot unit sold for $470K.
I can’t say I’m a big fan of the large columns in the Benson Tower units; however, I guess a column is better than a wall that you can’t see through. This 15th floor corner unit with 1,095 square feet, 2 bedrooms, and 2 baths was purchased for $489K.
