According to Redfin, there are 5 townhouses, 11 condos, and 76 houses offering open houses in Portland this weekend. This time we’re rotating our focus to the Northwest with picks including a not-so-close-in contemporary home, and two close-in condos — one loft in a converted warehouse and the other more traditional in flavor.
300 NW 8th Ave #405
This 732 square foot contemporaray loft in North Park Lofts was listed less than a week ago for $225K. It’s L-shape layout works for me in a 1-bedroom loft, as does the stained glass partition which originally caught my eye. North Park Lofts was converted from its 1909 warehouse origins to loft condos in 1999.
2141 NW Davis St #103
While the stained glass sucked me in on the previous listing, it was the rows and rows of books that pulled me in on this more traditional condo in the 705 Davis building. It’s surprising that this 1,469 square foot condo with 11′ ceilings only contains 1 bedroom and 1 bath. For $585K, you definitely won’t have to worry about where you are going to put all your books.
10360 NW Engleman St
I’m starting to wonder if contemporary is code for “use the entire color wheel” because this 3,000+ square foot home in Northwest Heights definitely covers the spectrum. However, you can probably see past the wall paint to notice the fully outfitted wet bar and all that private deck space that is great for entertaining. That’s 4 bedrooms (1 non-conforming) and 3.5 baths for $575K.
